Trusted Prawns Exporters from India to the Gulf Region

Fresh tiger prawns on ice prepared for international seafood export

Our Mission

Mad Era is a UAE-based General Trading FZCO company that exports fresh, chilled, and frozen prawns from India to seafood importers, wholesale distributors, hotels, supermarkets, and food service businesses across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. We are an exporter only, not a manufacturer. We source from MPEDA-registered seafood facilities in India and manage the complete export chain from cold chain handling and packaging to air and sea freight and documentation.

Why Indian Prawns Are in High Demand Across the Gulf

India Is One of the World's Largest Prawn Exporters

India’s aquaculture and wild-catch prawn industry operates at a scale that few other countries can match. This scale gives importers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar supply security and pricing stability. Sourcing from Indian prawn exporters means accessing one of the most commercially mature seafood export industries in Asia.

Wide Variety of Species and Formats from One Origin

India exports Vannamei (whiteleg shrimp), Black Tiger prawns, sea tiger varieties, and other wild-catch species across all major export formats including HOSO, HLSO, PD, PUD, EZP, and cooked prawns. Gulf buyers serving retail, hospitality, and food processing across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar can source multiple species and formats from one Indian supplier relationship.

Vannamei Price Competitiveness for High-Volume GCC Buyers

Vannamei prawns from Indian aquaculture farms are among the most price-competitive prawn varieties available in international markets. For wholesale buyers, supermarket chains, and catering companies in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar purchasing in large volumes, Indian Vannamei pricing directly supports margin requirements and competitive retail positioning.

Premium Black Tiger Prawns for the Gulf Hospitality Sector

Black Tiger prawns from Indian fisheries are larger, meatier, and well-suited to fine dining, hotel buffets, and premium retail. The luxury hotel and restaurant sector across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar creates consistent demand for Black Tiger at price points that Indian exporters can serve competitively.

Short Sea Transit Keeps Frozen Prawns in Premium Condition

Frozen prawn shipments from Nhava Sheva or Mundra reach Jebel Ali in 5 to 8 days, Jeddah in 10 to 13 days, Muscat in 6 to 9 days, and Doha in 8 to 11 days. These transit times are shorter than shipments from Ecuador or Vietnam, reducing freight costs and logistics complexity for GCC importers.

MPEDA Registration and International Food Safety Standards

All prawn processing facilities exporting through Mad Era are registered with MPEDA and operate under HACCP food safety management. Many facilities also hold BRC or ISO 22000 certifications, recognized by buyers in premium retail and hospitality across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar who require international food safety standards.

Our Prawns Export Process from India to GCC Ports

India exports Vannamei (whiteleg shrimp), Black Tiger prawns, sea tiger varieties, and other wild-catch species across all major export formats including HOSO, HLSO, PD, PUD, EZP, and cooked prawns. Gulf buyers serving retail, hospitality, and food processing across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar can source multiple species and formats from one Indian supplier relationship.

Step 1 – Sourcing from MPEDA-Registered Aquaculture and Fishing Operations: We source Vannamei from certified Indian aquaculture farms and Black Tiger and wild-catch varieties from MPEDA-registered fishing and processing operations.

Step 2 – Species Grading and Size Selection: Prawns are graded by species, count size, and weight class from U-8 to 80/100 count per pound to match buyer specifications for retail or food service formats across GCC markets.

Step 3 – Processing to Buyer Format: Prawns are processed to the required export format, HOSO, HLSO, PD, PUD, EZP, or cooked, at MPEDA-registered facilities under HACCP protocols with antibiotic residue testing completed before processing.

Step 4 – IQF or Block Freezing and Packing: Processed prawns are individually quick frozen or block frozen depending on format and buyer preference, then packed in export cartons for sea freight or insulated cartons for air freight.

Step 5 – Pre-Shipment Inspection and Antibiotic Testing: Each batch undergoes EIA pre-shipment inspection and antibiotic residue testing before being cleared for export. Test certificates are available for GCC buyers who require documented compliance.

Step 6 – Export Documentation Prepared In-House: Mad Era prepares the complete document set including MPEDA certificate, EIA health certificate, antibiotic test certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading or airway bill.

Step 7 – Sea or Air Freight to GCC: Frozen prawns travel by sea freight from Nhava Sheva, Mundra, or Chennai reaching Jebel Ali in 5 to 8 days, Jeddah in 10 to 13 days, Muscat in 6 to 9 days, and Doha in 8 to 11 days. Fresh or premium prawns travel by air freight from Kochi, Mumbai, or Vishakhapatnam to Dubai in 8 to 14 hours.
